Chilean, Brazilian and Spanish restaurant in Barcelona
Flavours from near and far, brought together around one table
La Mestiza
At La Mestiza | Antiguo Santiago de Chile, we bring together flavours from Chile, Brazil, Spain and Catalonia in a friendly, homemade and varied offering. We keep some of the former restaurant’s best-loved Chilean dishes and add Brazilian recipes, tapas and classics from our cuisine. Come and visit us in Barcelona, enjoy our terrace and find your next favourite dish.
A blend of cultures to enjoy at the table too
La Mestiza was born from the union of different cultures and a shared passion: enjoying good food. This new chapter preserves the Chilean essence of the former Santiago de Chile and combines it with the owner’s Brazilian experience and an ever-growing selection of Spanish and Catalan offerings.
The result is a different kind of restaurant in Barcelona, where you can discover traditional recipes, tapas and homemade dishes from different places without having to choose just one cuisine.
Why choose La Mestiza?
We want coming to La Mestiza to be about much more than sitting down to eat. We champion approachable cuisine, an informal atmosphere and a multicultural offering backed by 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Whether you already knew the former Santiago de Chile or this is your first visit, you’ll find a space designed for sharing, discovering new flavours and enjoying yourself without rushing.
Three cultures, countless flavours
We combine Chilean, Brazilian and Spanish cuisine, also incorporating touches of Catalan gastronomy.
20 years of experience
Although La Mestiza has only just entered its new chapter, the project is backed by two decades of experience in hospitality.
A terrace to enjoy
Our corner terrace, with approximate capacity for 24 people, is one of the restaurant’s main attractions.
Food to share
Tapas, empanadas, meat dishes, traditional dishes, vegetarian options and other offerings to enjoy alone or with company.
Travel through our cuisine without leaving Barcelona
Our menu is designed so you can choose from very different flavours. We keep some of the Chilean recipes that were already part of the establishment’s history, add Brazilian specialities and broaden the offering with Spanish and Catalan tapas and dishes.
From something simple to share to a more complete meal, La Mestiza lets you combine different offerings around the same table.
