La Mestiza
At La Mestiza | Antiguo Santiago de Chile, we bring together flavours from Chile, Brazil, Spain and Catalonia on a menu designed for discovering, sharing and enjoying. We keep some of the most cherished Chilean recipes from the former restaurant and combine them with Brazilian specialities, tapas and dishes from our local cuisine. A multicultural, homemade offering in Barcelona where you can find everything from empanadas and completos to picanha, tapas, meat dishes and combination plates.
Flavours of Chile that preserve our essence
Chilean cuisine still holds a very special place at La Mestiza. We wanted to keep some of the most representative and popular dishes among those who already knew the former Santiago de Chile, maintaining our connection with Barcelona’s Chilean community.
On our menu you’ll find specialities such as mini chorrillana, sopaipillas, pastel de choclo and Chilean empanadas, as well as different completos prepared with various ingredient combinations.

Some Chilean favourites
Mini chorrillana
A hearty combination of chips, sautéed beef, caramelised onion, chorizo, sausage and fried eggs.
Sopaipillas
Traditional Chilean fried dough, crisp on the outside and soft inside.
Pastel de choclo
One of Chile’s classics, made with corn and a tasty filling of beef, chicken, onion, egg and olives.
Chilean empanadas
Different varieties of one of the great essentials of Chilean cuisine.
Completos
From the traditional Italian completo to other versions with different ingredients and combinations.
From Brazil to Spain, a menu for a culinary journey
Our offering is rounded out by our owner’s Brazilian experience and a selection of Spanish and Catalan tapas and dishes.
You can start by sharing some patatas bravas, croquettes, Spanish omelette, garlic prawns or Padrón peppers, then continue discovering Brazilian flavours such as picanha, feijoada, cheese bread or Brazilian pastries.
An unconventional combination that makes every visit an opportunity to try something different.
